Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 341 did not ask any one about his whereabouts. At night he slept in the Ka‘bah. Hadrat ‘Al i ra saw him and realized that he was a foreign traveler. He took him home and arranged his stay for the night. Ab u Dharr ra used to spend his days in the Ka‘bah and nights at Hadrat ‘Al i ra 's house. On the third day Hadrat ‘Al i ra enquired about his mission for this journey. Ab u Dharr ra told him that he was in search of true guidance. Hadrat ‘Al i ra informed him that the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa was truly a Messenger from God. In the morning he secretly took Ab u Dharr ra to the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa. Ab u Dharr ra accepted Islam after listening to H u du r sa 's discourse. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa advised him to preach to his people on his return until he received further instructions from him. Ab u Dharr ra said that first of all he would announce his acceptance of Islam to the non believers of Makkah, so he went to Ka‘bah and in a loud voice announced: ِ ّٰ اَﺷْﻬَﺪُاَنْ ﻻ َّ اِﻟ ٰ َ اِﻻ َّ اﻟﻠ ّٰ ُ واَﺷْﻬَﺪُاَن َّ حمَُﻤَّﺪا ً رَّﺳُﻮْلُ اﻟﻠ "I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except All a h and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger.
