CHAPTER 16 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's love for his Companions and their Deep affection for him 314 permission I went home and told my wife that H u du r sa was in such a state that it had become impossible for me to bear it. I asked my wife if there was any food in the house? I then slaughtered a goat and in the meanwhile my wife ground some oats. When the meat started to cook, I returned and requested H u du r sa "O Messenger of All a h, I have a small amount of food in my house, please come with one or two other people and eat it. " H u du r sa enquired about the quantity of the food available. I informed him of the quantity and he replied that it was enough. H u du r sa told me to go back home and tell my wife not to take the cooking pot off the fire and not to start baking the bread in the oven, until he arrived. Then he announced to his Companions that J a bir ra had invited them for a feast. All the An sa r and the migrants accompanied the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa. I went to my wife and she said, ‘Good luck to you, H u du r sa is bringing all An sa r and migrants with him. "Did the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa not ask you about the quantity of food?" my wife enquired. I told her that I did inform H u du r sa. When they all arrived at my house, the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa told the Companions to enter my house quietly. H u du r sa started to distribute bread with pieces of meat on it. He kept the cooking pot and the oven covered. He would serve food from it and again cover it. In this manner H u du r sa kept feeding
