Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 145 Muhammad sa replied, God is Holy, you don’t have the strength to bear His punishment. You should pray, ٰ رَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ِ ا ْﺗِﻨَﺎىف َ اﻟﺪُّﻧ َ ﻴ ً ﺎﺣَﺴَﻨ ِ ﺔ ٰوَىف َ اﻻ ِ ﺧِﺮ َ ة ً ﺣَﺴَﻨ َ ﺔ وَﻗِﻨَﺎَﺬَاب اﻟﻨَّﺎ ر "O All a h grant us the good of this world as well as the good in the life hereafter, and save us from the punishment of fire. " Then the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa prayed for this person and he recovered with All a h's blessing. 23 Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Umar ra relates that Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to recite some prayers regularly at dawn and dusk. One of these prayers is ّٰ َّ اَﻟﻠ ِّْﻬُﻢ ْاِىن َ اَﺳ ْﺎَﻟُک ِ اﻟ َ ﻌَﺎﻓ َ ﻴ ِﺔ ْىف َ اﻟﺪُّﻧ ﻴ ﺎ َ وَاﻵ ِ ﺧِﺮ ّٰة َّ اَﻟﻠ ِّْﻬُﻢ ْاِىن َ اَﺳ ْﺎَﻟُک ْ اﻟ َ ﻌَﻔ ْﻮ ِ وَاﻟ ْ ﻌَﺎﻓ َ ﻴ ِْﺔ ِىف ْ د ِْ ﻳ ْىن َ وَدُﻧ ﻴ َ ﺎ ْ ی ِْ ،وَاَﻫ ِْ وَﻣَﺎىل ، ّٰ َّ اَﻟﻠ ْﻬُﻢ ُْ اﺳ ْرت ِْ ﻋَﻮ رَا² ، ْ وَآ ْﻣِﻦ ِْ رَو َﺎ² ، ّٰ َّ اَﻟﻠ ْﻬُﻢ ْ اﺣ ِْ ﻔَﻈ ْىن َﻣِﻦ ِْ ﺑ َني َ ﻳ َّ ﺪ ْی ْوَﻣِﻦ ِْ ﺧَﻠ ³ْ َِوَﻋَﻦ ْ مي ِْ ْىن ِْوَﻋَﻦ ْمشَِﺎىل ْوَﻣِﻦ ِْ ﻓَﻮ ¶ ، ْ ُ وَاَﻋُﻮ ْذ َ ﺑِﻌَﻈ ْﻤَﺘِک ْاَن َ اُﻏ ْﺘَﺎل َْﻣِﻦ ِْ حت ىت. "O All a h! I seek well being and safety in this world and in the world hereafter. O Lord, I seek your forgiveness and protection in faith, in worldly life, in my home and in my wealth. O All a h! cover up my weaknesses and grant peace to my fears. O All a h! You Yourself protect me from the front and behind, from the left and the right and from above and
