The month of September 1906 439 Ghazal by the Promised Messiah, may peace and blessings be on him اتس اکرے و دختم ہن ابعدت و زدہ ہن رما اتس ددلارے یں �ہ� ر اجمن ہک اتس رما یں م� ہ � I have nothing to offer by way of devotion, worship, service, or any achievement; It is only that my soul is pledged to the Beloved. ابد ش � ی � ہک اجن دفا ش � ی � ہچ ذلےت اتس رب و اتس ابرے وخن ارگہچ ش � ی � وکب اتس راےتح ہچ There is such delight in His countenance that my life is sacrificed for Him; There is a wondrous joy in His way, even though great sacrifices are called for there. یں احل � ہکن د�ی� د ا آ د رك ح وتق رما ی مس� داللئ دوعے ارگہچ �ب�یک�ارے اتس خ ں ی �ب� ہب When God saw this condition of mine, He made me the Messiah of the Age; You should now look at the arguments in support of my claim, though (according to you) they are useless. اتس ام الہتک ں آ ہک وخامہ ہن قشع دواےئ زارے اتس آ یں رجن و درد و م� ہ � افشء ام ہب I do not wish my love to be remedied [as though it were a disease], For this would cause my death — my healing is in this pain and illness. نک ٰیل بلط وم رہ رمدی ارگ ہچ انیل روز و بش از رہب رمدار If you are a man, then seek the way of the Lord; Why do you keep crying day and night after this carcass (the mate- rial world)? د � خ ی�چ� � چ � ہب رس اونکں رگ رمجن ےمن ہک رتک رمس و رہ اکرے اتس دوشار If they turn away from me now, I am not angry; For, it is very diff icult to break customs and traditions.
