Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 9 486 endowed me the knowledge of all their names and stories 1 as He has said: Tens of millions of people have continued to be born, and tens of millions of them have settled in various lands. It cannot be that God Almighty had forsaken them and not conveyed His message to them through a Prophet. In fact, Messengers have continued to come among them. 3 It is possible that he [Zoroaster] was also one of those Messengers, but his teachings cannot be adequately known now as, with the passing of a long time, some narrations have been distorted due to alteration of words and their meaning. The promise of true protection is only afforded to the Holy Quran. A believer should draw pos- itive conclusions rather than negative ones. 4 It is written in the Holy Quran: 1. From Badr : I do not know the details as to who they were, and at what places and which countries they lived in. ( Badr, vol. 6, no. 44, p. 8, dated 31 October 1907) 2. And We did send Messengers before thee; of them are some whom We have mentioned to thee, and of them there are some whom We have not men- tioned to thee ( S u rah al-Mu’min, 40:79). [Publisher] 3. From Badr : I cannot say that all those lands and all those people have been without Prophets forever. I hold this very belief that the Messengers of God Almighty have also come in India, also in Iran, and in other lands too. ( Badr, vol. 6, no. 44, p. 8, dated 31 October 1907) 4. From Badr : Hadrat Umar ra took the Parsis to be among the People of the Book and treated them the same as the People of the Book. The same was the practice of Hadrat ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him. The opinions of such great Companions concerning this matter should be valued, and in this way the matter becomes determined.
