28 September 1907 451 in the Noble Hadith that God ‘hesitates. ’ 1 It is written in the Torah that God was ‘remorseful’ for sending the storm. These are metaphors. What is the meaning of objecting to them? Rather, it is understood from them that it is the word of God. One ought to reflect as to what is the matter with the man who fabricates lies that he intentionally issues statements that inevi- tably invite objections? Look! It is written in the Holy Quran clearly to give a goodly loan to God. Even at that time people began to say that God had then become poor and needy. Remember well that if Allah had desired, He would not have used such words. One ought to look at the essence. The meaning of loan is only this much that it is a thing that is promised to be returned. It is not necessarily the case that the receiving person is needy. Such statements are to be found in all scriptures. It is written in the Noble Hadith that Allah the Exalted will say on the Day of Judgement, ‘I was hungry, and you did not feed me, I was sick, and you did not tend to me, etc. ’ 2 These are all metaphors. 3 1.
