54 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n 啵 ز䏸媛䰮ظ⸞ ⭏彤ا⨭ا懓亾 ૽ا侼㲁 ا⬧مᝮ⛪啵ا䒔ء峤ںῇ ᡁء䒔اᝮ⛪䬈㺸 In terms of time , I am the Kh ā tam-ul-Khulaf ā ’ in Isl ā m just as Mas ī h Ibn Mariam was the Kh ā tam-ul-Khulaf ā ’ for the Israelite dispensation. instead of 啵 رو㷨媦ⓥرو⸞ ا⬧مᝮ⛪啵ا䒔ء峤ں侼㲁ῇا૽ 懓亾ا⨭ا彤 ᡁء䒔اᝮ⛪䬈㺸⭏ In terms of spirituality , I am the Kh ā tam-ul-Khulaf ā ’ in Isl ā m just as Mas ī h Ibn Mariam was the Kh ā tam-ul- Khulaf ā ’ for the Israelite dispensation. Hence, it is quite clear from the quotation itself that the Promised Messiah as is speaking of the status of Hazrat ‘ Ī s ā as. Further proof of the fact that he was not using the word kh ā tam to mean “last” in this specific context is that he himself predicted that there would be Khulaf ā ’ after him. This is demonstrated when he writes, “ a Gن a خic_ۃ a او a اdFو@ود a اiWdFح a WMاBر دXGق a ارض a اF a خc_اLہ ”(The Promised Messiah as or a Khal ī fa from his Khulaf ā ’ would travel towards the land of Damascus) 39. In a similar quotation, the Promised Messiah as calls himself the Kh ā tam-ul-Awliy ā ’ and clarifies his use as well, “ a اHا a و a اﻻHبiاء a خاتم a اHہ @gدی a ٰ c@ a و a eG a Kو a اFذی a اﻻ a ب]دی a وF a ﻻ a اﻻوiFاء a خاتم ” (Certainly, he [the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa ] is the Kh ā tam-ul-Anbiy ā ’ and I am 39 Ham ā matul Bushr ā , Page 37
