Continuation of Prophethood according to the Holy Qur’ ā n 261 All ā h has decreed: ‘Most surely I will prevail, I and My messengers. ’ Verily, All ā h is Powerful, Mighty. 258 All that is decreed for the opposition of Hazrat Mirz ā Ghul ā m Ahmad as , a messenger of All ā h, is despair, misery, and humiliating defeat. The fifth problem with Farhan Khan’s arguments is that he quotes the following had ī th in support of his points: I heard All ā h’s Apostle sa saying, “No prophet gets sick but he is given the choice to select either this world or the Hereafter. ”Ayesha ra added, “During his fatal illness, his voice became very husky and I heard him saying, ‘In the company of those whom is the Grace of All ā h, of the prophets, the sidd ī q ī n , the martyrs, and the pious’ (4. 69). And from this, I came to know that he had been given the option. ” From the above had ī th , Farhan Khan concludes that 4:70 is absolutely about the next life and it cannot possibly be about this life. However, the reality is that this had ī th , itself, categorically rejects his desired meaning. One should ask this simple question: When the Holy Prophet sa recited this verse, was he a prophet at that time or not? If Farhan Khan’s meaning is applied, it would mean that the Holy Prophet sa was not a prophet in this life but was only hoping to be with the prophets in the next life ) ذاFک a Gن a باﷲ a H]وذ (. No Muslim in the world, who truly loves the Holy Prophet sa , will accept his meaning. Farhan Khan should have put some thought into this. His meanings are 258 S ū rah Al-Muj ā dilah, 58:22
