230 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n No perfection, except the perfection of prophethood bearing Law has ended. With respect to the other beneficences of God Almighty, He is neither miserly nor niggardly. 16. Hazrat Sayyed ‘Abd-ul-Kar ī m Jil ā n ī , a renowned sufi of the 8 th century Hijra, expressed his opinion in Al-Ins ā n-ul- K ā mil fi Ma‘rifah Al-Aw ā khir wal-Aw ā ’il , Page 115, in the following words: The coming of the law-bearing prophets, after the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings on him, has ceased as he has been exalted to be the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n because he brought with him such a perfect law as no other prophet had brought before him. 17. Maul ā n ā ‘Abd-ul-Hayee Farangh ī Mahl ī , an eminent scholar of the Sunn ī s, has also discussed the significance of the expression, Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n , and on behalf of Sunn ī scholars, he has declared in Majm ū ‘ah Fat ā w ā , Volume 1, Page 144: The divines of the Sunn ī sects believe in and expound the fact that in the course of the ministry of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of All ā h be upon him, there cannot appear a law bearing prophet and his prophethood extends to the end of days. A prophet who appears during his ministry shall necessarily be the follower of the Law of Muhammad.
