Ahmad as also declared that he had in a vision, seen a person of terrifying aspect 123 who was in search of Pt. Lekhr a m as if he had been appointed for Lekhr a m’s chastisement. (Leaflet April 2nd, 1893) In the Arabic portion of his booklet Kar a m a tu s Sa diq i n , published in S afar 1311 A. H. , Ahmad as wrote that God had told him that Pt. Lekhr a m would be destroyed, and that his death would take place within six years. The fact that Pt. Lekhr a m was described by God as 'a molten calf' was a clear indication of the manner in which he would meet his tragic end. Moses as burnt the calf in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strewed it upon the water on a Saturday, and then the Lord plagued the people. So Pt. Lekhr a m was to be cut into pieces, burnt and thrown into the water, after which the people were to be visited with plague. In a poem, published on 20-2-1893, the word 'sword' was also mentioned with which Pt. Lekhr a m was threatened. In an Arabic poem, published in the Kar a m a tu s Sa diq i n , Ahmad as expressly stated that God had revealed to him that a mighty prophecy was to be fulfilled on a day next to an Eid festival. The Punjab Samach a r , Lahore, wrote later in one of its supplements (dated March 10, 1897) that the above Arabic verse was understood to refer to Pt. Lekhr a m. It should also be 123 Cf.
