164 CHAPTER 15 CHRISTIANS TAKE UP ARMS On March 20th, 1887 Ahmad as issued a leaflet declaring the fulfilment of his prophecy made on August 5th, 1885, regarding the visitation of an affliction upon his cousin’s family, which has been mentioned before. On August 7th, 1887 was born Bashir I. and Ahmad as issued a leaflet to announce the birth of his son in accordance with the prophecy made on April 8th, 1886. Christians were feeling very uneasy at the clear fulfilment of Ahmad’s as prophecies. Rev. Imam-ud- D i n, Rev. Thakar D a s and Rev. Abdullah A thim had warned the people against the growing influence of Ahmad as through the pages of the N u r Afsh a Ĕ , dated March 19th, 1885, April 2nd, 1885, and April 16th, 1885.
