27 ِ ﱠﺎﻟِﺤَﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺼ ﻭَﻋَﻤِﻠﹸﻮﺍ ْ ﹸﻢ ﻣِﻨﻜ ُﻮﺍ ﺁﻣَﻨ َ ﱠﺬِﻳﻦ ﺍﻟ ُ ﱠﻪ ﺍﻟﻠ َ ﻭَﻋَﺪ ﻗﹶﺒْﻠِﻬﹺ ِﻦ ﻣ َ ﱠﺬِﻳﻦ ﺍﻟ َ ﺍﺳْﺘَﺨْﻠﹶﻒ ﻛﹶﻤَﺎ ﺍﻟﹾﺄﹶﺭْﺽﹺ ﻓِﻲ ُﻢ ﱠﻬ ﻟﹶﻴَﺴْﺘَﺨْﻠِﻔﹶﻨ ْ ﻢ ﱢﻦ ﻣ ُﻢ ﱠﻬ ﱢﻟﹶﻨ ُﺒَﺪ ﻭَﻟﹶﻴ ْ ُﻢ ﻟﹶﻬ ﺍﺭْﺗَﻀَﻰ ِﻱ ﱠﺬ ﺍﻟ ُ ُﻢ َﻬ ﺩِﻳﻨ ْ ُﻢ ﻟﹶﻬ ﱠ َﻦ ﱢﻨ ﻭَﻟﹶﻴُﻤَﻜ ﻭَﻣَﻦ ﺷَﻴْﺌﺎﹰ ﺑﹺﻲ ﹸﻮﻥﹶ ُﺸْﺮﹺﻛ ﻳ ﻟﹶﺎ ُﻭﻧَﻨﹺﻲ ُﺪ ﻳَﻌْﺒ ﺃﹶﻣْﻨﺎﹰ ْ ﺧَﻮْﻓِﻬﹺﻢ ِ ﺑَﻌْﺪ ﹸﻮﻥﹶ ﺍﻟﹾﻔﹶﺎﺳِﻘ ُ ُﻢ ﻫ َ ِﻚ ﻓﹶﺄﹸﻭْﻟﹶﺌ َ ِﻚ ﺫﹶﻟ َ ﺑَﻌْﺪ َ ﻛﹶﻔﹶﺮ 12 This noble verse is called Ayati Istikhlaaf. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) commenting on this Ayat (verse) in his speeches and in his writings, has used the word Khalifah and Mujaddid as synonymous, to tell us that where he speaks of Mujaddid he means Khalifah. If this Hadith does not comply with the expression of the Holy Quran then we have to discard this Hadith. Goodness Only Through Muhammad Now I take up Ayat Istikhlaaf. Before I relate the meaning described by the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), I would like to state that he has declared that all the means of achieving Khair (goodness) independent of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) have been closed after the advent of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him).
