140 KHILAFAT-E-R A SHIDAH (Al-N u r, 24:56) “Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth. ” and: (Al-N u r, 24:56) “He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them. ” He will help the Muslims inherit abundantly of the rewards granted to previous nations. Signs of True Khulaf a ’ In this verse, the signs of true Khulaf a ’ are also mentioned. This can help in distinguishing the true Khalifah from a false one. They are as follows: A Khalifah is appointed by God and no human hand is involved in appointing him, nor does he himself desire it, nor does he become Khalifah by some plan. Sometimes, a person whose appointment is considered impossible is appointed as Khalifah. The words: (Al-N u r, 24:56)
