Regrettably, I cannot write on this matter in further detail as the principle aim of this brief essay is to elucidate on the etiquettes of the nam a z. AZ A N OR THE CALL TO PRAYER The az a n or call to prayer is a feature of excellence unique to Islam. Instead of bells, horns or other similar means, Islam has adopted a more enlightened method for inviting people to prayer. The words of the az a n are so impressive and pregnant with meaning that they distinguish it as the only noble and reasonable call to prayer.
