For this purpose, collectors may be appointed in larger Jam a ‘ats to assist him. (Rule 324) 2. Chandas are as follows: a. Obligatory Chandas : • Chanda ‘ A m : Paid monthly at the rate of one sixteenth of one’s income. • H i ss a A mad : it is paid by M usi s , monthly. Its rate varies from one tenth to one third of a M usi ’s income, as pledged by him in his will. • H i ss a J a ’id a d : This is paid by M usi s as per Wa s iyyat Rules. It is rated at one tenth to one third of one’s property. • Chanda Jalsa S a l a na : It is paid once a year and its rate is 1/120 of yearly income.
