In this type of symptom complex, any homoeopathic remedy of which the main constituent is Mercury will be found useful with rare exceptions. The symptoms of a patient of Mercury aggravate at night, like Syphilinum and Sulphur. In Sulphur, the aggravation is due to the warmth of the bed, while in Mercury it is the time of the night, that aggravates whether the patient is asleep in bed or not.
