daughters. I had nothing in the house to give to her except dates. So I gave her three dates. She gave one to each girl and raised the third to her own mouth to eat. The girls asked her for it, so she broke it into two parts and gave half to one and the other half to the other. I was astonished at her sacrifice and mentioned this incident to the Holy Prophet. The Holy Prophet s as said: God will bestow paradise upon that woman on account of the consideration she had shown towards her daughters. ”’ 80
