128 As mentioned in a blessed Hadith, there is a glad tiding that a reward of paradise lies under the feet of mothers; however, in relation to this, mothers have been assigned the duty of the proper upbringing of their children. Hence, Huzoor Anwar atba says: “It is also the duty of Ahmadi mothers to raise their children in such a manner that they have firm conviction in God Almighty and to make every effort to gain His pleasure, as their first priority. And this cannot be achieved unless mothers also try their utmost to attain high standards of faith. The heaven which has been laid under the feet of mothers is to heighten them in fear of Allah the Almighty and in faith on one hand, and on the other hand, to let their children progress in faith through their pious training. Otherwise, every mother cannot be given glad tidings of paradise.
