Thus, in this Hadith the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has himself declared a period of up to one year as a condition for a prayer-duel. Thus, until the day of resurrection, the practice which accords with the Sunnah is that Muslims are to honour the words of this Hadith and set a period of no less than one year for a prayer-duel.
