14 Madrasatul-Binaat, the girls’ school in Qadian. She was a great teacher who not only imparted academic knowl- edge to her students, but also placed emphasis on their moral and religious training. She had a great passion for the Holy Quran and very much enjoyed reciting it in a loud and melodious voice. She also taught the Holy Quran to countless girls. She was such an expert that she could tell from a distance if a girl was correctly pronouncing the Arabic words of the Holy Quran by simply observing the movement of her lips. Another gift she possessed was that even though she hadn’t formally committed the Holy Quran to mem- ory, she had almost all of it memorized just because she recited it so frequently.
