Hadrat Maulw i Nur-ud-D i n ra — Khalifatul Masih I KHILAFAT 195 that if the members of the family of an Ahmad i should have been left unprovided for in consequence of this unexpected calamity, they should, if they should be so willing, be sent immediately to Qadian where they would be properly looked after and the cost of their journey would also be provided for. We expected, and shall expect, nothing less from the blessed personality of Hadrat Khalifatul Masih ra , but he and the other dignitaries of the Movement would certainly be glad to learn that, despite the fact that the residences of most of the members of the Movement were situated in the midst of such danger zones as have been completely overwhelmed and ruined, and from where thousands of dead bodies have been recovered, not one Ahmad i , nor a single relative of an Ahmad i , has lost his life in this terrible calamity. All praise is due to Allah for His mercy. In conclusion all members of the Ahmadiyya community in Hyderabad most respectfully request Hadrat Khalifatul Masih ra that he may be pleased to supplicate that God, the Beneficent, may perfect the faith of these distantly situated helpless ones, may bestow upon them steadfastness in times of trial, and may reform their conduct. May we carry out a holy change in ourselves, and set a good example for others. When we depart from this transitory abode may we be accounted truly faithful, obedient and sincere servants of the Ahmadiyya Movement, Amen.
