15 3 A BLESSED CHILD I n 8th Hijr i , Allah the Almighty gifted Hadrat M a riyah Qib t iyyah ra with another blessing. Hadrat M a riyah ra gave birth to a beautiful son of the Holy Prophet sa. One tradition says that when Hadrat Jibr i l as [Gabriel] appeared to the Holy Prophet sa at the occasion of the birth of Hadrat Ibr a h i m ra , he said: “O father of Ibr a h i m, may peace be on you!” That is how a beautiful son of the Holy Prophet sa came to be named Ibr a him ra.
