27 The Muslims Grieve T he Muslims loved the Holy Prophet sa very much and so they were very sad at his death, just like children are at the death of a beloved father. The Muslims could not believe what had happened to them. Many of them were not ready to believe that the Holy Prophet sa had died. Hadrat ‘Umar ra was a great man, but even he, at this time, took out his sword and started to say, “If anyone says that the Holy Prophet sa has died, I will kill him!” 28 Everyone was overcome with grief and nobody knew what to do.
