10 Steadfastness during trials U ntil now the position of the Muslims in Makkah was very weak. Other than Hadrat Ab u Bakr ra there was not a single influential person among the Quraish who had accepted Islam. There was no one to pressure the Quraish to stop the persecution of the Muslims. This situation changed in the sixth year of the Call when Hadrat H amzah ra entered the fold of Islam.
