Hakeem Noor-ud-Deen The Way of the Righteous 12 Maulana Hakeem Noor-ud-Deen was not fond of long titles. He had once read titles and introductions extending over eight pages. He realized the uselessness of these titles and omitted old styles of addressing. His way of address was simple: "Dear," "Respected Dear," "Respected Sir," "Assalamo Alaikum," and one who was not known to him he would address him as "Sir," meaning you are on that side and I am on this side.
