In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful FlRST FRIDAY SERMON AUGUST 03, 1990 THE OURANIC PROCEDURE OF SETTLEMENT OF CONFLICTS After reciting the Opening Chapter of the Holy Quran, Al-Fatiha, Hazoor recited the following verses: (Holy Quran, Chapter 49 Al-Hujurat Verses 10 & 11) Hazoor then went on to say: THE ISLAMIC WORLD CONSTANTLY IN THE GRIP OF PROBLEMS It has been more than ten years since the Islamic world has been faced with many problems and afflictions. If these sufferings and miseries were being inflicted on Islam by the outsiders, it would no doubt have been painful, but far more painful is the fact, that the Islamic world is responsible for creating trouble for itself and as a result it has been split into two halves - each continuously creating problems and difficulties for the other. The oil-wealth has been of a great boon for many Muslim countries but it bas also caused some harm. The most serious harm of this oil wealth bas been that the Muslims gradually lost sight of the essence of righteousness (Taqwa).
