We do not claim that the Third world nations are free of vice, neither do we advocate that the East is honourable while labelling the West as wholly corrupt. What we do say is that the inherent potential of the West in propagating vice is such, that the like of it has never been given to any nation in the past. In fact, the development of such a frightful situation was predicted by the Holy Prophet Muhammad. . . when he said that towards the end of days, the emergence of the Dajjal (anti Christ) would cause so much evil and iniquity in the world that it would have no parallel in history. Since the creation of the world all Prophets were warned of the evil consequences at the appearance of the Dajjal and the subsequent emergence of a powerful nation which would spread iniquity. Therefore, your prayers must not be motivated by any latent prejudice, national or ethnic divisions, but should rather be sincerely prompted by the message contained in these prophecies. You should thus absorb yourself in fervent prayers by zeroing on the real target. If you do not do that, then it is possible that your prayers have been contaminated by the vice of your ill intentions, national prejudices or ethnic diversities. There are many evils of this type which secretly cling to our prayers thus poisoning them and rendering then ineffectual and unworthy of acceptance by Allah. Thus, the need to deliberate on this subject in such depth arose out of my desire to explain to you that the acceptance of prayers are not solely dependent upon our weeping and wailing. For a prayer to be accepted by Allah, one would require a special level of purity of heart coupled with humility. Inculcate that pattern of prayers as exemplified and taught by the Holy Prophet Muhammad. . . . Keep your conscience clear of your own vice and the multitude of other vices and then pray exclusively for the sake of Allah while shunning all types of national and racial prejudices. If you pray in this way, then I am certain that by the Grace of Allah your prayers are bound to be accepted. As we enter this unique historical juncture, the final equilibrium will eventually be in favour of Islam. lnsha Allah We should pray and strive that we behold this inevitable triumph of Islam with our own eyes.
