The Gulf Crisis & The New World Order despotism and tyranny of a vicious and ruthless dictator. But U. S. and the West are punishing the innocent people who according to their statements, President Saddam has been killing, maiming and oppressing for years. Then what is the crime of these innocent women and children? According to U. S. and Western claims these Iraqi women and children have been oppressed. This war was started to liberate them. Therefore, why should U. S. and the West punish them for the crimes which President Saddam has committed against Israel? The punishment inflicted on these innocent women and children is so fierce that no example of such punishment can be found even in the history of the Jews. What right has U. S. to debase and sally the pure teaching of Christianity and stain the history of Christianity with blood in the same way as the history of the Jews has been stained with gory blood. These are inequities. They are against justice. They are against Righteousness. These create a negative reaction in the heart of Muslims. In spite of this, Muslims are peaceful citizens of the countries in which they reside. They raise their voice in protest against this injustice without infringing the law of the land yet they are declared to be traitors, and the West takes action against them. What kind of justice is this? An Ahmadi Muslim telephoned and told me that he was being asked to give an interview on a T. V channel or the BBC. He asked me what our stand was. He wanted my advice as to what comments or views he was to give on the present situation. I told him to say that his view is exactly the same as that expressed by Tony Benn the British M. P. I further advised him to give the following answer. 'If a fair-minded person is raising the true voice of my heart then what need have I to raise that voice myself, because if I raise it you will denounce me as a traitor, but if Tony Benn raises that voice, you will not dare to call him a traitor' NO MUSLIM RULER IS. JUSTIFIED TO TERM THIS WAR AS AN ISLAMIC � Whatever is happening is against justice. It is against righteousness. There is no law, there is no principle, there is no high moral ground. The U. S. and West have descended to the lowest levels of moral degradation. In the light of righteousness what I have said, is the correct situation at present. 183
