Ninth Friday Sennon Jan 18, 1991 be the order of the day. 0 God! fulfil the promise that Thou made in the Holy Quran that: (Chapter AI-Saff: Verse 10) Thou sent the Holy Prophet Muhammad. . . into this world so that Thou may cause him and his religion to reign supreme over all ideologies in the world. So we are not praying for the victory of any particular nation. Rather we pray for the victory of the truth; we pray for the victory of Islam and human values. 0 God! if thou did not accept our prayers today then there would be no hope for the deliverance of this world. We are lying prostrate in front of Thee, in complete sincerity and total humility and we are crying in front of Thee, 0 God! Accept the supplication of the humble servants of Muhammad. . . and cause that blessed revolution to come about in the world for the sake of which Thou hast created us. Let us see the fulfilment of all Thy promises related in this grand spiritual revolution that, Thou foretold, would be brought about through the agency of those who will come in the latter days. We are the ones who are commissioned by Thee, 0 God! in these latter days. So fulfil Thy promise and make us the instruments of prayers which will cause that revolution wherein lies the salvation of this planet. May God grant acceptance to these humble entreaties of ours and grant us the requisite capabilities. AN IMPORTANT ADVICE A further advice in this regard is called for : God has instructed us that in times of trial and tribulation, we must give expiatory charity along with prayers. As I pondered over the contemporary difficulties of the world of Islam, my attention was diverted to the hungry millions of the African continent who span vast areas and several countries. Humanity is dying of hunger in Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Chad and many other countries; and mankind is not mindful of this problem as a very human problem. Whatever little has been done to address the problem, the credit for that goes to the Western countries. These countries have such charitable 166
