H. 275). He holds a high place in the collection and collation of legalistic material. But scholars are divided on the question of assigning priority of merit of J a mi‘ Tirmidh i and Sunan Ab u D a w u d. Sunan an–Nasa’ i i i i : Compiled by Imam Ahmad bin Shu‘aib an-Nas a ’ i (A. H. 215 to A. H. 306) Imam Nasa’ i is one of the leading scholars of A ha d i th and his work is generally accorded the fifth place among the six standard books [ S i hah Sittah].
