212 A Precise and Comprehensive Commentary of Surah Al - Kauthar Address at Lajna Ima’illah Ijtema Delivered by Hazrat Mirza Bashir - ud - D in Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifat - ul - Masih II ra 1957 Every Ahmadi Woman is a Living Proof of the Truth of Ahmadiyyat After Tashah h ud , Ta’a w wuz , and recitation of Surah Al - Fatih ah , Khalifat - ul - Masih II ra recited the following verse s of the holy Qur’an : E َﻓ َﺼ ِّﻞ ِﻟ َﺮ ِّﺑ َﻚ َو ا ۡﻧ َﺤ ۡﺮ E َا ۡﻋ َﻄ ۡﻴ ٰﻨ َﻚ ا ۡﻟ َﻜ ۡﻮ َﺛ َﺮ ِا َّﻧ ۤﺎ ِا َّن َﺷ ﺎ ِﻧ َﺌ َﻚ ُﻫ َﻮ ا َۡﻻ ۡﺑ َُرت “ Surely, We have bestowed upon thee an abundance of good; So pray to thy Lord, and offer sacrifice. Surely, it is thy enemy who shall be without issue. ” (Holy Qur’an , Ch. 108: V. 2 - 4) Answer t o a n Objection The chapter I ha ve just recited is addressed to Holy Prophet Muhammad sa. Allah says: ‘O Muhammad, Prophet of Allah , surely, we have bestowed upon you Kauthar , so in gratitude to this great blessing pray to your Lord abundantly and be prepared to offer every kind of sacrifice. And be s ure , it is your enemy that will prove to be bereft of male progeny. ’ Since no son of the Holy Prophet sa stayed alive , the Qurai sh [the Holy Prophet’s sa tribe] of M ecca used to call him ‘ abtar ’ [ issueless ]. God Almighty answers their objection in t his chapter , saying that this criticism of theirs is absolutely wrong.
