The term Nasirat refers collectively to the members of the auxiliary of girls older between age 7-15 which is formally called Nasir- at-ul-Ahmadiyyat (Girl helpers of Ahmadiyyat). Naw a fil —Roughly meaning su- pererogatory. Naw a fil refers to religious acts and prayers that go beyond what is oblig- atory. Nafl (the singular form of Naw a fil ) prayers refer to ex- tra supplication after obligatory prayers to seek blessings. Ni za m-e-Jama'at — Ni za m , by it- self, is commonly understood as order. Ni za m-e-Jam a ‘at re- fers to the organizational struc- ture of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Rishta —Meaning relationship. Rishta more commonly refers to a marriage proposal within South Asian communities. S al a t —Five daily Prayers that are obligatory for Muslims. S u rah —A chapter of the Holy Quran. Tabligh —Defined as prosletyz- ing. Tabligh refers to propagat- ing the message of Islam. Tafs i r —Literally interpretation. Tafs i r refers to Quranic exegesis or commentaries on the verses of the Holy Quran. Tarbiyyat —Defined as upbring- ing, Tarbiyyat refers to the moral upbringing and spiritual etiquette. Taqw a —A term in Arabic that lit- erally means ‘righteousness’. Waqf-e-Nau — Waqf meaning dedication. Waqf-e-Nau refers to an organization created un- der Hadrat Mirza Tahir Ah- mad rta where parents dedicate their children to the cause of Islam before their birth. When children become of age, they may choose whether to con- tinue their waqf (dedication) to Islam.
