Once a leading Arya of Qadian, by the name of. Malāva Mal, was stricken with tuberculosis. His fever had become chronic and all hope for his life was fading out. One day he came to me and requested for treatment. He seemed utterly hopeless and cried bitterly. I prayed for his recovery and God answered: قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرُدًا وَّسَلَامًا i. e. , 'We said, O fire of fever! Cool down and become a source of peace. ' Hence he recovered within a week and is still alive. [Nuzul-ul-Masiḥ, Rūḥānī Khazā'in, vol. 18, p. 538]. Miān 'Abdullah Sanaurī, who is a patwārī [rural revenue officer] in Patiāla State, was pursuing a matter very diligently and for some reason was very hopeful about it. He requested me to pray for him and I did so. . Immediately, the revelation came to me: اے بسا آرزو کہ خاک شده 7. I then told him that the object he was pursuing would not be achieved and informed him of the words of the revelation. And it finally so happened that certain difficulties arose and the object, although it had seemed within reach, could not be achieved.
