16 At this point, I had concluded the subject, but today, Thursday 15 March 1906, I received the following revelation at dawn: 18 meaning that God will reveal His face through these five earthquakes and will manifest His Self, and [God revealed that]: 'You are to Me like My Own Manifestation', i. e. , your coming will be just like My Own Coming. This is God’s promise which He will manifest Himself through five earthquakes. And God’s promise will not be deferred and must come to pass. It should be remembered that prophecies are of two kinds. First, there are simple warnings, the sole purpose of which is to punish and chastise. If such a warning comes from God Almighty, it can be averted through expressions of fear and repentance, and seeking forgiveness, or giving of alms and offering supplications. The prophecy made by the Prophet Jonah as , for instance, was averted and did not come to 18 God is about to reveal Himself. [Translator]
