In the Holy Qur'an also both these words have been used synonymously. In 28:11 both the words have been used together signifying the heart. It is the context which determines where any of these words is used in the sense of mind or heart; some authors, however, make a distinction between Î ø ×» g º and Ê ö © ø ] º the former of which is said to have a more special signification than the latter which is said to be the Æ ô ø ^ ð º (the pericardium) or the æ ô Â ø ^ ð º of the Î ø ×» g º or the middle or the interior thereof.
