] » ø Þ» Ì ö : The nose became depressed in the bone and so became flat. ì ø ßø  ø k ô ] Ö» Ï ø  ø Ý ö : The feet became flat in the hollow part of the sole. ì ø ^ Þô  º (plural ì ö ß $  º ) : He who holds back, remains behind, lags behind, retires, retreats, recedes. ]ø Ö» í ö ß $  ö : The stars, because they retire or because they hide themselves at setting or because they become concealed in the day time; or the planets because of their retrogression and recession and returning in their course. Ê ø ¡ ]ö λ  ô Ü ö eô ^ Ö» í ö ß $  ô : Nay! I call to witness the planets that recede (81: 16). ]ø Ö» í ø ß $ ^  ö (act. part. noun): The devil; the sneaking whisperer (114:5). iø í ø ß %  º : Slandering; calumniating. ì ø ßø Ð ø [aor. mø í û ßö Ð ö inf. noun ì ø ßô Ð º and ì ø ß» Ð º ] ì ø ßø Ï ø ä ü : He throttled, strangled or choked him or it; he squeezed his throat so that he died. ì ø ß $ Ð ø ] » ô Þø ^ ð ø : He filled the vessel. ì ø ßø Ð ø ] Ö  $ ×F ç é ø : He straitened the time of Prayer by postponing it.  ø ^ é º Ú ö ß» í ø ßô Ï ø è º or  ø ^ é º ì ø ßô n» Ï ø è º : A sheep or goat throttled or strangled or choked or a sheep or goat strangled, throttled or choked by itself (5:4). ì ø ^  ø [aor. mø í ö ç û  ö inf. noun ì ö ç ø ]  º ] ì ø ^  ø ] Ö % $ ç »  ö : The bull uttered its cry i. e. lowed or bellowed. ì ö ç ø ]  º : The loud crying; low or bellowing of a cow or a calf; or the bleating of sheep or goats and of gazelles and of any beasts and the whizzing of arrows. q ø  ø  ÷ ] Ö $ ä ü ì ö ç ø ]  º : A mere body producing a lowing sound (20:89). Öø ä ü  ø ç » l º Ò ø í ö ç ø ]  ô ] Ö % $ ç »  ô : He has a voice like the bellowing of the bull. ì ø ^  ø also means, he or it was or became feeble, weak or languid. ì ø ^  ø ] Ö» v ø  % : The heat abated. ì ø ^  ø [aor. mø í ö ç »  ö inf. noun ì ø ç »  º and ì ô nø ^  º ] ì ø ^  ø ] Ö» Û ø ^ ð ø : He waded or forded through the water; he entered into the water and walked through it. ì ø ^  ø Ê ô o ] » ø Ú »  ô : He plunged into the affair. ì ø ^  ø Ê ô o ] Ö» fø ^  ô Ø ô : He entered or plunged into or indulged in false, vain discourse or speech. æ ø ì ö  » jö Ü » Ò ø ^ Ö $  ô p » ì ø ^  ö ç » ] : And you indulged in idle talk as they did (9:69). ì ø ^  ø Ê ô n» ä ô : He said what was false regarding it. ì ø ^  ø ] Ö» Ï ø ç » Ý ö Ê ô o ] » ø u ø ^  ô m» & ô : The people indulged in discourse. ]ø Ö $  ô m» à ø mø í ö ç »  ö ç » á ø Ê ô o » ]F mø ^ iô ßø ^ : Those who indulge in vain or false discourse regarding Our Signs (6: 69). ì ø ^  ø ä ü eô ^ Ö  $ n» Ì ô : He thrust the sword into his body and moved it about in it. ]ô Þ $ ä ü mø í ö ç »  ö ] Ö» Û ø ßø ^ mø ^ : He 252 ì ß Ð ì ^ 
