C ONDITIONS OF B AI ‘ AT AND R ESPONSIBILITIES OF AN A H MAD I 118 for opening the door of Allah’s blessings and grace is only to adhere to the injunctions of the Holy Qur’an and to follow the Holy Prophet sa and to establish Prayer and keep fasting in the established manner. That person is lost who adopts any new path instead of following those established ways. That person shall end up dying in failure who does not comply with the dictates of Allah and His Messenger and walks diver- gent paths. ( Malf uza t , new edition, vol. 3, pp. 102–103) The Promised Messiah as again says: Almighty Allah says in the Holy Qur’an: 73 The only way to please Allah the Almighty is to be fully obedient to the Holy Prophet sa. It is a common observation that people have become a slave to and are entangled in various kinds of customs. When someone dies, instead of praying for the deceased, as they should, they perform various rituals that are innovations. These customs are contrary to the teachings of the Holy Prophet sa. Carrying them out is disrespectful to him in the sense that his teachings are not considered to be sufficient and final. Otherwise, there was no need to introduce these customs.
