The commentary of al-Qa si dah 185 As All a h had provided the Promised Messiah as with fresh signs, as a result of his following the Holy Prophet sa , he has used this as an argument to prove that the Holy Prophet sa is a living prophet, the Qur’ a n is a living book and Islam is a living religion. COUPLET 63 O my Lord, always shower blessings on your Prophet , In this world and the next. Since in the last few couplets the Promised Messiah as was mentioning the favours of the Holy Prophet sa and the blessings that he received from All a h, it was natural that feelings of prayer were felt in his heart. In this couplet, he prays to All a h that He should elevate the status of the Holy Prophet sa in this world and the next, and that he should continually shower His blessings upon him. He has invoked Dur u d because in fact, by sending Dur u d on the Holy Prophet sa and by loving him were the means by which he received all kinds of heavenly blessings.
