53 I would also like to make it clear why this vision should not be considered to be from Satan. The reason being, in the first place, the Promised Messiah as himself viewed it as very significant and noted it down in his notebook. Secondly, the dream saw literal fulfilment within a period of two years. A vision that gets fulfilled in such a glorious manner cannot be from Satan. Should it be from Satan, what difference then will there be left between a satanic vision and a divine one? Moreover, what shall then prevent people from dubbing every vision as satanic? Second Heavenly Testimony In 1909, I was not yet fully aware of any dispute regarding Khilafat. However, on the fifteenth day of the Khilafat of Hadrat Khal i fatul- Mas ih I ra someone raised the subject with me and said, ‘We should begin to think as to what rights a Khalifah should have. ’ I told him, ‘The time to do that was when the institution of Khilafat had not been established. Now, after we have taken bai‘at , how can we, as mere servants, determine the rights of our master? How can we limit the rights of the one to whom we have pledged allegiance?’ From then on no one ever took issues with me on this subject, and I completely forgot the above mentioned incident, until the time came in 1909 when I saw a vision that there was a large house wherein everything was complete and ready to be used except for the roof which still had to be finished. The concrete rods on the roof had already been placed, but what was still left to be done was to have the bricks clayed and pressed hard against each other to ensure they remained tightly fixed in their place.
