125 opening such schools. All such arrangements can be made through correspondence with them. Need for Preachers Apart from these matters, our Jam a ‘at also needs preachers. They are particularly needed in large cities. Our cherished possession is the Holy Quran, and what else can be better than the Holy Quran? Therefore, I intend to initiate Darsul-Quran in various cities, and appoint at least one preacher in every district. But the number of those preachers who can really accomplish this task in our Jam a ‘at is small. Therefore, as you might be aware, a class of preachers has been initiated. Two students in this class delivered their lectures here yesterday. I have not yet been informed about what they said, but it is my wish that such people be fully prepared soon so that we can appoint them at some key places. In view of this, I have prepared a syllabus, and by studying it, the ten students of this class of preachers will be equipped with such knowledge as will make them fully capable of delivering Darsul-Quran within the next year. These students, I hope, will soon be able to do this job effectively and hopefully by December of next year they will be able to provide one preacher each to the communities at ten different places. Learning the Meanings of the Holy Quran I wish that all the members of our Jam a ‘at, men or women, know the Holy Quran very well.
