Read. ” The Holy Prophet sa responded with fear, “I have not been educated. ” Upon hearing this, Hadrat Jibr i l moved forward, held the Holy Prophet sa and embraced him close to his chest. Then he let go and said again, “Now read!” The Holy Prophet sa gave the same answer, “I have not been educated. ” The angel once again held the Holy Prophet sa close to himself and pressed him hard against him and said, “Now read!” The Holy Prophet sa once more gave the same reply that he had given twice before. After this, the angel sent by God, held him close to his chest again and said the following:
