They demolish our enemies! They keep our friends happy and they keep us content. They even make us better when we are ill and free us of debts! In fact, whatever we ask of them they provide it!” Upon hearing these agreeable words Prince ‘Amr bin Lu h aiyy impulsively said, “If this is the case then you people are in the right place! If you could be so kind as to give me one of these idols, I will take it back to my country. You will not miss but one idol, but for my people and I, it will create such ease!” So the people of Ma’ a b decided that they would give the Prince one of their idols. The idol given to Prince ‘Amr bin Lu h aiyy was none other than Hubul. The Prince took Hubul , a stone, back to Makkah and proudly placed this stone upon the roof of the Ka‘bah.
