30 The King of IDols in the House oF God Hadrat Ibr a h i m as, and his son, Hadrat Ism a‘i l as built the Ka‘bah for the worship of God, and God alone. However over the course of time the children of Hadrat Ibr a h i m as and Hadrat Ism a‘i l as turned away from worshipping God and began to worship idols. They became so engrossed in these pagan customs that they turned away from the One True God and filled the Ka‘bah with idols. Over time the number of idols began to increase until there were three hundred and sixty idols! Indeed it is likely that there was no house of idols that contained as many idols as those within the Ka‘bah.
