Chapter One 41 truly knowledgeable among them would accept him wholeheartedly. Regarding such people, the Holy Quran states the following words: ِّقَحْلا١ۚ َنْوُلْوُقَي ۤاَنَّبَر اَّنَمٰا اَنْبُتْكاَف َعَم َنْيِدِهّٰشلا َو اَم اَنَل اَل ُنِمْؤُن ِهّٰللاِب َو اَم اَنَءٓاَج َنِم ِّقَحْلا َو ُعَمْطَن ْمُهَّنَا اَل َنْوُرِبْكَتْسَي۠ َو اَذِا اْوُعِمَس ۤاَم َلِزْنُا ىَلِا ِلْوُسَّرلا ىٰۤرَت ْمُهَنُيْعَا ُضْيِفَت َنِم ِعْمَّدلا اَّمِم اْوُفَرَع َنِم َو َّنَدِجَتَل ْمُهَبَرْقَا ًةَّدَوَّم َنْيِذَّلِّل اوُنَمٰا َنْيِذَّلا اْۤوُلاَق اَّنِا ىٰرٰصَن١ؕ َكِلٰذ َّنَاِب ْمُهْنِم َنْيِسْيِّسِق َو اًناَبْهُر َّو 1 S u rah al-M a’ idah, Part Number 7— ْنَا اَنَلِخْدُّي اَنُّبَر َعَم ِمْوَقْلا َنْيِحِلّٰصلا From among the followers of different religions, the Christians are most inclined towards Muslims. That is because amongst them there are also some scholars and monks who are not arrogant. And when they hear the Word of God that has been revealed to His Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears, because they recognize the truth of the Word of God and say, ‘O our Lord, we believe, so write us down among those who bear witness to the truth of Your religion. And why should we not believe in Allah and in His true Word while we earnestly wish that God should include us among the people who are righteous?’ َّنِا َنْيِذَّلا اوُتْوُا َمْلِعْلا ْنِم ٖۤهِلْبَق اَذِا ىٰلْتُي ْمِهْيَلَع َنْوُّرِخَي ِناَقْذَاْلِل اًدَّجُس َّو َنْوُلْوُقَي َنٰحْبُس — َو َنْوُّرِخَي ِناَقْذَاْلِل َنْوُكْبَي َو ْمُهُدْيِزَي اًعْوُشُخ ۤاَنِّبَر ْنِا َناَك ُدْعَو اَنِّبَر اًلْوُعْفَمَل. 2 S u rah Ban i Isr a ’ i l, Part Number 15 Those among the Christians and Jews who have been given knowledge fall down prostrate on their faces when the Holy Quran is recited to them, and say, ‘Our God is far too Holy to go against His promise. His promise was bound to be fulfilled one day. ’ They fall down on their faces weeping, and the Word of God increases meekness and humility in them.
