BarĀhĪn-e-a H madiyya — Part Four 412 آں اکلم ہن رمدے زدنہ اجن ت �یس� ن � ز رمداشن وخماں ى رگ رخد دنم He is neither perfect, nor alive; If you are wise, do not consider him a man at all. ابرفزدن و زن ہك اکلم آں ابدش نت وغشمیئل ہلمج و ابع�ی�ال Perfect is he who, despite having wives and children And family and many worldly endeavours; رشا و ع ی �ب� ابہمہ اباجترت دخا از رگندد اغلف زامں �یک And despite engaging in businesses and transactions, Is not unmindful of God at any time. اتس ِ رمداہن ِ ّوقت اشنن یں � ا یم�اہن اتس � چ � یں م� ہ � اکالمں را سب This is the sign of the power of a truly masculine person; This alone is the criterion for the perfect. ِ دربلے قشع ز اجےن وسہتخ �یگ�رے ےک رفاومشش دنک اب د How can one whose heart is consumed in the love of the Beloved Forget Him and think of anything else? �ی� ر و دل ہب �ی�ار ن �ب� او رظن دارد اگنر ادنر �ی�ال ن � و دراکر دتس He may apparently be looking at something, but his heart is with the Friend. His hands may be occupied, but his thoughts are with the Beloved. ش � ی � دل اپطں در رفتق ِ وبحمب وخ ش � ی � ر ش � ی � ر ى ہ از رجہان �ی�ار ن س�ی� His heart is restless in separation from the Beloved, And his soul is distressed in the absence of the Friend. ےسک روےئ از دور اواتفدہ دل دواں رہ ہظحل در وکےئ ےسک He may be far from the Beloved’s countenance, But his heart is always rushing towards the Beloved’s abode.
