114 Then He said: ِّ ْدا ً مَظْھَر ُ الْحَق ي ِ ً اَو ْ قَرِیْبا ً مِن ْ ذَالِك َ وَتَرٰی نَسْال ً بَع اِل ْ ْن َ حَو ي ِّبَۃ ً ثَمَانِ ي ٰوۃ ً طَ ي َ ِیَنَّك َ ح ي لَنُحْ ِ َ نَزَل َ مِن َ السَّمآء هللا َّ َاَن ك ِ َء ال َ وَالْع Meaning that: ‘We shall bestow upon you a pure and com- fortable life, eighty years or thereabouts’—meaning a few years less or few years more. ‘You will witness a distant progeny. Manifestation of eminence and supremacy. As if Allah had descended from heaven. ’ And then He said: َ ْطَان َ قَبْل َ اَن ْ تَغْلِبَہ ٗ الْفَوْق ُ مَعَك ي َّ مَا اَنْت َ اَن ْ تَتْرُك َ الش ى ّٰ َاء ِ وَاَمْرُك َ یَتَأَت ي َْنْبِ اِل ْ قَمَر ُ ا ى َیَأْتِ وَالتَّحْت ُ مَع َ اَعْدَائِك ‘The moon of the Prophets will come and your affair will be completed. You are not the one who would let go of Satan before you overcome him. It is your lot to be victori- ous, and the defeat is destined for your enemies. ’ And then He [Allah] said:. ِِّب ي ْز َ الْخَبِیْث َ مِن َ الطَّ ي ِ یَم ى َك َ حَتّٰ ك ُ َتْر ي ُ لِ هللا َ َان ك ْن ٌ مَّن ْ اَرَاد َ اِھَانَتَكَ. وَمَا ي ْ مُھِ ى ِّاِن َ ْ اِخْتَرْتُك ى ِّ ْ. قُل ْ رَب ِّ اِن ى ُ فَاخْتَرْنِ هللا ْ اَنَا ى ِّ ُكَ. اِن ك ُ ْف َ یَتْر ي َ ك َ ِ اَنْت َ وَقَارُہٗ. ف هللا َ سُبْحَان ْءٍ. ى َُل ِّ ش ك ى ٰ عَل Translation: ‘I shall humiliate him who designs to humil- iate you and will help him who helps you. And God is not such that He would leave you until He [manifestly] distin- guishes the pure from the impure. Holy is Allah; you are His dignity, so how shall He leave you? I am Allah, then devote yourself wholly to Me and affirm: Lord I prefer You to everything. ’
