A Review of the Pakistani Government’s “White Paper”: Qadiyaniyyat—A Grave Threat to Islam [ 7 ] Muslims living in England, the Arab world, Africa, and in other countries all traitors? Most certainly not. This is just fiction. In reality the people who bring forth such allega- tions against Ahmad i s are themselves traitors. It is a common observation that two demons currently possess the Pakistani government. One is Jam a ‘at-e-Islam i and the other is Majlis-e-A hra r. People outside Pakistan ask: ‘What is wrong with you? Have you gone mad? Why are you acting like a fool?’ The response of the government of Pakistan is: ‘These two monsters do not leave us alone. They have turned the people against Ahmad i s and because of popular pressure we are forced to take action against Ahmad i s. ’ But the fact is that these two demons have been har- nessed by the government of Pakistan which uses them for its own interest. The government will keep them as long as they are useful and then they will be tossed away like dirty rags; on the other hand the Jam a ‘at-e-Islam i and A h r a ri clerics have similar intentions for the government. This is the kind of faith they all have! Whenever their interests clash with the interests of the government, the clerics will abandon the support of the government and will only care for their own selfish inter- ests. In other words, these are strange bedfellows forced together by circumstance. This relationship may break at any moment, for such relationships have been breaking in the past and, insh a ’All a h, shall break even now.
