As mentioned before in relation to the heavens, the Holy Quran uses the term M i z a n, which means balance or something which can be instrumental in determining balance. In relation to earth and earthly things, the Holy Quran uses another derivative from the same infinitive. The infinitive of M i z a n is Wazn (i. e. weight). M i z a n is derived from the connotation of both meanings just mentioned. Another derivative of the same root is Mauz u n, which literally means something made perfectly balanced or proportioned. Is there any other book apart from the Holy Quran in the entire world which discusses such complex subjects with such ease and simplicity and such masterly command? A book with profound academic and scientific subjects, with a fluency and familiarity that is absolutely astounding. Although it discusses the problems and interests of today, the Holy Quran does not belong to this age but was revealed fourteen hundred years ago in a completely different era of knowledge and understanding.
