Surely, Allah loves not the proud and the boastful, (S u rah al-Nis a ’; Ch. 4: V. 37) In this noble verse, the subject of justice and benevolence is being presented in a much wider range than in the previous one. Hence, apart from the prohibition of calling partners with Allah and paying due respect to the rights of parents, benevolence towards close relatives, orphans, poor people who do not beg, relatives who are also neighbours and neighbours who are strangers, are being discussed in this verse. Similarly, benevolence towards those who are under your command is also included.
