Covenants, their Different Categories, Punishments and Rewards 315 commonly found among the followers of perverted religions. In this connection, Islam does not specify Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism or any other religion separately, but, during the decadence of religions, whatever psychological diseases raise their heads among them are enlisted as categories. Such violators of covenants are mentioned in the following verse of the Holy Quran, with some additional punishments by way of the wrath of Allah to be incurred by them: As for those who take a paltry price in exchange for their covenant with Allah and their oaths, they shall have no portion in the life to come, and Allah will neither speak to them nor look upon them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and for them shall be a grievous punishment. (S u rah al -e-‘Imr a n; Ch. 3: V. 78) The people described in this verse who sell the Words of Allah for a paltry price do so for small insignificant worldly gains. They turn their backs on God for the sake of earthly gains. They will be punished accordingly on the Day of Judgement with a most painful punishment. They will not be rewarded by anything, on the contrary God will turn away from
